One of the reasons for getting the "drviers not digitally signed" is because the drivers might have been initially released prior to windows 7 being out in the market.

Yesterday I contacted live support with the problem that my network driver is crashing and giving me BSODs because of this when my download speed reaches above 5. When I try to install those drivers, I first get a warning that the drivers aren't signed. Instead of just going through the automatic update option. Not using any of the linksys applications, those never seems to work anyway.
I installed all drivers that came with my PC's Hardware, all went smooth.

The error message that occurs while trying to install them looks like this: Although, I don't use the software, and never have, i prefer Microsofts I am lucky that I am somewhat more experienced with this stuff, but what about people that are not?
Those drivers are unsigned. I tried deleting the qmp300n in the manager, but that has not helped. I have even tried to reload the same after downloading from linksys, win7 says that it is not needed, the same????
Proposed as answer by mrnalley Wednesday, June 3, 3: Again it appears to work and stays on until I start putting it under heavy use and then it drops out.
Message 9 of 24 7, Views. It shows in devmgnr as "unknown ethernet card" and when I try to re-apply the drivers it says 'nothing appropriate'. It seems to work okay for me until I start downloading big files like video games. Perhaps Cisco will be releasing latest drivers for version 2 adapter soon.
